Songs Without Words
Since 2002, I have performed a regular show at the Edinburgh Fringe called ‘Songs Without Words’. It’s an instrumental music show with my friend, Simon Kempston, where we play duets on nylon and steel string guitars, and clawhammer banjo. We’ve just finished a new album, released on the 17th of October 2025, with tour dates to follow
Doghouse Roses
Formed in 2006, we’ve toured across Europe and played in the the American alt-country collective ‘The Willard Grant Conspiracy.’ Our fourth and most recent album ‘We are Made of Light’ was released in 2019 followed by UK and German tours. We’ve sat in a songwriters circle and jammed with Eddie Manion and Vinnie Lopez of ‘The E-Street Band’ and opened shows for ‘Television’. Our version of the ‘Elegy for Johnny Cash’ written by the late great Jackie Leven will appear on a tribute CD to Jackie called ‘The Wanderer’ released on Cooking Vinyl on September the 17th
